OMEGA SPRING CLIPS
All spring clips look the same - but they're not. The thickness of the steel and the distance that they come around the hoop make a terrific difference to how well your poly stays on the tunnel.
Couple that with a galvanised finish for extra rust resistance and you have a quality clip at economy prices. Available as a 35mm, 40mm and 50mm clip in boxes of 500. Top Tip! It's easier to fit them on the tunnel if you soak them in soapy water when you fit them... DROPPER BAR
Every year there are thousands of pounds worth of poly sheets prematurely damaged by top wires. XL's new patent applied for wire dropper should reduce that dramatically and probably add a whole year to the life of your cover.
It bolts to the 40mm hoop and the wire, strap or rope is held in place by the serrated bracket at the bottom, 15cms below the hoop. This stops rope burn or chaffing of the polythene on the wire. It has a hole punched in the bracket to fix to the hoop with a self drilling screw so that it can't rotate. If you want to convert from wire to a ridge bar at a later date you can use the same dropper bar in conjunction with one of our Eazy Clips (see above). Made from heavy duty galvanised steel. Eazy Hinge / Q Clip
Eazy Clips have a patent applied for system that makes them both easy to open and close. Once fitted to the tunnel, you might need to take it off and move it two or three times. We carried out a rigorous destruction test and found that even after we 150 openings and closings, the clip was as strong as ever.
The cut out, which is not easily visible on this picture, makes it easy to close without compromising on the strength of the clip. It is primarily designed as a replacement for hinge clamps - the hinge damages the polythene. Eazy Clip grips tighter than a hinge clamp and it has a hole punched in the side to take a self drilling screw. If you are using our top wire dropper bar you can use the Eazy Clip to hold a top tube in place on the dropper bar. Made from heavy duty galvanised steel. Available in 35mm and 40mm clip in bags of 100. Top Tip! When you are fitting an Eazy Clip it is usually to a brace. Do not put the brace in the mddle of the bracket but to the outside. poly grip clipsXL's Poly Grip Clip is designed to hold polythene or netting to our 2.5mm high tensile wire.

A wire stretched along in the valley allows both covers to be joined together quickly and easily keeping the tunnels warmer in the winter. Truss Support Tape Tensioner
Truss Support Tape is never the length of the tunnel. Tying it togther is not a very elegant solution so we have upsized the clip that is commonly used for pallet strapping so that it fits a 45mm wide truss support tape.
It keeps the tape flat when you join it and allows you to join as many lengths as you want to fit your tunnel. It also allows tensioning along the row rather than just at one point, on the end of a row. Made from high tensile stainless steel so that it won't ever rust, it's a long term investment. Universal clips
Multi adjustable, the clips are UV stabilised so that isn't too tight for soft growth. Both styles available in bags of 1,000.
25mm plastic clips
XL's plastic clips are designed for fixing wind up side vents or doors on to thick wall 25mm steel tube.
The clips are spring plastic with rounded edges so that they don't damage the material. With XL designed doors and vents you can use polythene instead of expensive woven and coated materials. We recommend one clip every 25cms. Available as a standard size to fit 25mm steel tube in bags of 100. N.B. A 35mm clip will be available shortly Top Tip! If you are creating centre wind doors or vents, fix the poly to the torque tube and put 2 winds in it before fixing the bottom weight tube so that the poly is gripping the tube and not relying on the clip... Once you remove the poly for the Winter, the wind blows through the tunnels and vibrates the tape which wears out. Using the simple retention clip it can no longer vibrate on the truss support bracket and the life of the tape is extended.
